Conservation International has launched a stunning campaign called Nature Is Speaking<\/strong> (#NatureIsSpeaking). The campaign features the voices of famous actors speaking as nature. Visit the website<\/a> to watch the series of short films and to learn more about CI\u2019s \u201chumanifesto.\u201d (Essentially, nature doesn\u2019t need us. We must take care of nature if we humans expect to survive).<\/p>\n

This is powerful stuff. The campaign is stunning in its sophistication and beauty\u2014and stunning in its statistics, which can be overwhelming (and frankly, depressing).<\/p>\n

The good news is that there is<\/span> reason to hope. By creating a conversation, Conservation International seeks to change the way that we think about nature. That it\u2019s not an endless resource available to us to plunder and destroy as we see fit.<\/p>\n
